Local Area Information
Transport & Parking
Conference Venue: Victory Convention Centre- 98 Beaumont Street, Auckland CBD.
Parking in town doesn't have to be scary! There are several Wilson and Tournament parking sites close to VCC. You can also check out www.parkopedia.co.nz for local parking options, or Wilson parking has a pre-paid online booking system at www.bookabay.co.nz.
The closest parking option is Z Pier (Westhaven Marina) from which there is a footbridge onto the VCC property. Please note that city centre parking can be expensive, so planning in advance is important.
If you are coming from the North Shore, the Northern Busway is brilliant. The Northern Express (NEX) departs every 10 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes after 9:30pm. Constellation Drive & Albany station offer the convenience of a Park & Ride (time restrictions may apply) while Akoranga is a short walk from Harbourside Church.
An alternative bus option is to park at Harbourside Church & go to the bus stop right by the entrance to the carpark. All buses from this stop go across the Harbour Bridge and can be stopped right outside VCC. Simply press the bell as soon as you get onto the bridge. To return from VCC, simply walk down the driveway to the Victoria Park bus stop on Fanshawe Street. Buses 820 to 879 go to the right stop. Press the bell as soon as you get onto the Harbour Bridge & walk to the front of the bus so the driver stops at the correct stop.
For all other locations check out www.at.govt.nz. The Britomart Transport hub for trains and buses is approximately a 20 minute walk to VCC.
New World Supermarket - Turn right at the bottom of the driveway. New World is right in front of you. (2 College Hill, Freemans Bay.)
Craft Cafe - 80 Beaumont Street, St. Mary's Bay. (Right at the bottom of the driveway.)
Habitual Fix - 120 Beaumont Street. (Turn left out of the driveway, continue across the road & Habitual Fix is on the left.)
Vic Park Cafe - 1 College Hill, Freemans Bay. (Turn right out of the driveway, head to the end of the road & turn right.)
There are many hotels in Auckland CBD - we recommend you looking online for a range of different options. You could also look on www.airbnb.co.nz as an alternative to hotel accommodation.
